What is the purpose of exporting QWeb reports in a ZIP file with password protection?

Exporting QWeb reports in a ZIP file with password protection allows you to securely collect multiple reports into a single file, making it easier to manage, share, and store sensitive documents while ensuring only authorized users can access them.

How do I export QWeb reports into a ZIP file?

To export QWeb reports into a ZIP file, select the reports you want to include, open the wizard, set a password, and then click the export button.

Can I password-protect the ZIP file?

Yes, you can set a password to protect the ZIP file. This ensures that only users with the correct password can access the reports contained within the ZIP file.

What types of reports can be included in the ZIP file?

You can include various types of QWeb reports such as invoices (customer and vendor), sales orders (orders and quotations), deliveries (incoming and outgoing), purchase orders, and manufacturing orders (work orders and production orders).

How do I access the reports within the ZIP file?

To access the reports, you will need to extract the contents of the ZIP file using a standard file extraction tool. You will be prompted to enter the password you set during the export process.

Can I include or exclude specific reports when exporting?

Yes, you can choose which reports to include or exclude based on your needs.

What should I do if I forget the password for the ZIP file?

How do I export QWeb reports without a password?

To export QWeb reports without a password, select the reports you wish to include, open the export wizard, and simply skip the step where you set a password. Then, click the export button to generate the unprotected ZIP file.

What are the risks of not using a password for the ZIP file?

Without a password, the ZIP file is less secure, and anyone who has access to the file can view the reports it contains. This may not be suitable for sensitive or confidential information.

Is it possible to choose between password-protected and unprotected ZIP files for different exports?

Yes, you can choose to create either password-protected or unprotected ZIP files based on your needs for each export. Simply select or skip the password option as needed during the export process.
