US Escheatment
Generate state-required pre-escheat due-diligence letters for aged credits and uncashed checks, then track owner responses
Generate state-required pre-escheat due-diligence letters for aged credits and uncashed checks, then track owner responses
Key Features
State rule library
State rule library -- per-jurisdiction dormancy periods (general and wage), due-diligence dollar threshold, mailing window, owner response window, certified-mail threshold and the annual report deadline, all editable.
Automatic dormancy math
Automatic dormancy math -- each item's presumed-abandoned date is computed from the last owner activity and the applicable state rule, with wage checks using the shorter wage dormancy.
Due-diligence detection
Due-diligence detection -- items are flagged the moment they become dormant and sit at or above the state threshold; items under the threshold are marked as not requiring a letter.
Mailing-window and report-deadline calculation
Mailing-window and report-deadline calculation -- the module derives the earliest and latest compliant mailing dates and the next state report deadline for every item.
Template-driven letter generation
Template-driven letter generation -- render a professional letter per item from a customizable template with safe merge fields (owner, holder, amount, reference, deadlines) -- unknown fields never crash a mailing.
Certified-mail enforcement
Certified-mail enforcement -- items above the state's certified-mail threshold require certified mail; first-class letters for them are blocked.
Batch letter generator
Batch letter generator -- a wizard scans every item that currently needs a letter (or a selection), produces the letters, and can mark them all sent.
Response tracking
Response tracking -- record claimed, address-updated, returned-undeliverable or no-response outcomes; the item is resolved, re-queued, or moved to ready-to-escheat automatically.
Owner response deadlines
Owner response deadlines -- each letter carries a computed response deadline and an overdue indicator based on the state response window.
Scheduled automation
Scheduled automation -- daily jobs flag newly-dormant items and close letters whose response deadline has passed with no answer.
Full workflow, chatter and activities
Full workflow, chatter and activities -- monitoring, due-diligence, letter sent, responded, ready-to-escheat, escheated and resolved stages with tracking and to-do activities.
Multi-company aware
Multi-company aware -- items, letters and templates are scoped per company with dedicated user and manager roles.

Why Choose This Module
This application turns that manual chore into a tracked workflow. Load your aged credits and uncashed checks, and the module computes each item's dormancy date from the owner's state rule, decides whether a due-diligence letter is legally required (dormancy reached and value over the state threshold), works out the exact mailing window and the annual report deadline, and generates a rendered letter per item from your own template. It then tracks what the owner did -- claimed the property, sent a corrected address, the letter bounced, or nothing before the deadline -- and pushes each item to resolution or to "ready to escheat".
