User Role Management
The User Role Management module enhances Odoo's user management by offering advanced control over user roles and permissions. With features like impersonate users, read-only access, and login restrictions, administrators can easily manage user interactions, ensuring better security and flexibility in user access and actions.

User Role Manage Options in User Profile
- Can Impersonate Others: Enable this to grants the user permission to impersonate other users.
- Read Only: Restricts actions for users being impersonated, allowing them to perform only read operations.
Configuring Impersonation for Users
To enable impersonation for a specific user, navigate to their profile and open the Preferences section. Within the User Role Manage section, uncheck the Cannot Be Impersonated option, which is ticked by default.
Direct Impersonate User via Profile Menu
You can directly impersonate a user by clicking on the profile image and selecting the Impersonate User option from the menu. This action opens a dialog displaying a list of all users, allowing you to choose and impersonate a specific user effortlessly.
Impersonating a User
When you click the Impersonate button, you will be logged in as the selected user. Additionally, by clicking the user profile image, you can select the option to Become Original User, allowing you to switch back to your own account.
Favourite Impersonate User
In the User Role Manage section, there is an option called Favourite Impersonate User. By selecting another user as your favourite, you can easily access their profile. After adding a user to your favourites, a button will appear next to the profile image, allowing you to quickly impersonate your favourite user directly from there.
Enabling Read-Only Option for a User
In the User Role Manage section, enabling the Read Only option for a user restricts their actions to read-only operations.
Enabling Restrict Login for a User
When the Restrict Login option is enabled for a user, they will be prevented from logging into their account. This option ensures that the user cannot login the system until the restriction is removed.
