The hours that count, not the hours the clock recorded
Valid check-in and check-out against the working schedule, late-coming and early-leave hours, and the valid worked hours payroll should actually read.
Attendance Data Validation (HR) (technical name viin_hr_attendance_validation) is an Odoo 18.0 app for Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise and Viindoo Cloud, built for hr, payroll, line manager, employee.
At a Glance
The facts of Attendance Data Validation (HR), version 0.1.5, in one place. Published by Viindoo.
How It Works
It computes on every entry - there is nothing to run.
Attendance, with the valid hours
Check-in and check-out as recorded, and next to them what the schedule says counts.
One entry in full
Valid check-in and check-out, late and early hours, and whether the check-out was filled by hand.
And as analysis
Group by employee, department or period to see where the hours are actually lost.
What You Get
Valid check-in and check-out computed from the employee's working schedule
Late coming hours and early leave hours per entry
Valid worked hours - early arrival and late departure excluded
Auto check-out marked, so an unclosed shift is visible
Who manually filled or changed a check-out, recorded
A days-crossing flag for shifts that run past midnight in the employee's timezone

What This App Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. Everything below is something the app deliberately leaves to another app or to you.
It computes what counts; a validation workflow is a different app.
Employees without one have nothing to be measured against.
Late hours are a figure; turning them into money is a payroll rule.
It marks them, and records who corrected one.

Who Should Use Attendance Data Validation (HR)?
HR
Reports lateness as a number instead of an impression.
Payroll
Reads valid hours rather than raw badge time.
Line manager
Sees the entries that were auto-closed and the ones somebody edited.
Employee
Is measured against the schedule they were given.

Instruction video: HR Attendance Validation
1. Automatically calculate the time to come late and leave early based on the working schedule set up on the employee contract.
Navigate to Attendances > Attendances to see the number of hours of late coming and early leave by employee and day by day.
2. Check Auto Check-out for individuals who forget to check out 10 hours after the check-in time, based on their work schedule.
For example, your business is applying a 40-hour/week schedule from Monday to Friday, with a 1-day working time is 8:00 - 12:00, and 13:00 - 17:00.
- If you check in in the morning (from 8:00:00) and forget to check out, after 18:00:00 the system will automatically check out and enter the check-out time as 12:00:00 on the same day at the attendance entry from that employee.
- If you check in in the afternoon (from 13:00:00) and forget to check out, after 23:00:00 the system will automatically check out and enter the check-out time as 17:00:00 on the same day in the attendance entry from that employee.
3. Use filters in the Attendance app for data management purposes.
