What it does
This is a technical bridge, installed automatically when both Mail Route and Employees are present.
Mail Route stores the original Message-ID and References headers of an incoming email on the record that email is routed to, so that replies keep threading across Odoo systems. Those two fields are added to every model built on the mail thread mixin, and an employee record is one of them.
An employee record only exposes to a colleague without HR rights the information that also exists on the public employee profile. Email routing headers are internal plumbing rather than public profile data, so this module restricts them to HR officers - the same treatment the standard Employees application already gives to every other mail thread field it inherits.
Without this bridge, a user without HR rights who reads a full employee profile is denied access instead of being served the public profile.
