Social Marketing overview
Solution
Technical base for Viindoo social marketing: shared ORM (media, pages, articles, posts, notices), backend screens, cron and sync entry points, metrics fields, security groups, and Discuss hooks. It is the dependency target for connector extensions, not a full multi-network product by itself.
Base vs extensions
This module holds the neutral data model and UI framework. OAuth flows, vendor REST calls, and channel-specific publishing rules live in add-ons (for example Facebook Social Marketing, LinkedIn Social Marketing) that declare a dependency on viin_social. For end-to-end posting, install the base and each connector you need. See related apps.
Publishing path
After the base is installed, add connector modules to authorize assets and push or pull content for each network.
Conflict warning
Uninstall Odoo standard Social Marketing if it is installed to avoid conflicting apps and duplicate marketing flows.

  • OWL-backed backend assets under web.assets_backend for kanban, lists, and social dialogs defined in the base.

Installation

  1. Navigate to Apps.
  2. Search with keyword viin_social.
  3. Press Install.

Access rights

Navigate to Settings ‣ Users & Companies ‣ Users, select the employee account to set up and assign corresponding rights based on job position for each individual to ensure that the individual has full rights expiration date for work. This app consists of 3 groups of access rights , specifically:

  • Editor;
  • Approve;
  • Administrator.

Create articles on social media

Step 1: Create an article.

Navigate to Social Marketing ‣ Articles ‣ Create, fill in the article content and click Save.

Step 2: Confirm the articles.

After you have checked the article content, press Confirm to confirm the article.

Step 3: Post on social media.

With the Social Marketing app, you can connect to the social media page Facebook or LinkedIn to be able to post and interact with viewer's comments right on the software interface without having to log in to each page.

After you confirm the articles, the manager navigates to Social Marketing ‣ Articles. In the State column in the left corner of the screen, select Confirmed to filter out the posts that need to be posted, press Post on Social Media to confirm the post.

To manage all posts in the Social Marketing app, navigate to Social Marketing ‣ Posts.
