Salesperson Transfer
Securely transfer sales order responsibility between salespersons with mandatory reason tracking, email notifications, and audit logs in Odoo 18.
Salesperson Transfer is an Odoo 18 module that enables a secure and controlled transfer of sales order responsibility from one salesperson to another. The module validates that the salesperson is actually being changed and enforces a mandatory transfer reason to ensure transparency. Upon successful transfer, the system automatically sends email notifications to both the old and newly assigned salesperson, ensuring a smooth handover and clear accountability. Each transfer action is logged, creating a complete history of salesperson changes for auditing and reference purposes. The module integrates seamlessly with Odoo’s Sales and email framework.

Transfer / Update Salesperson
When changing the salesperson, a new mandatory field Transfer Reason is displayed. Enter a valid reason to proceed with the update.

Ensure the outgoing email server is configured under Settings → Technical → Email → Outgoing Mail Servers to enable notifications.
Email Notification on Transfer
Upon successful transfer, an email notification is automatically sent to both the old and newly assigned salesperson.
