GoCardless Payment Gateway
The GoCardless Payment Gateway app helps businesses collect payments online via direct debit, supporting multiple currencies for international sales. The admin logs into their GoCardless account and selects countries where this payment method is available, following regional rules. It shows all transactions in the GoCardless dashboard for easy tracking. To set it up, the admin enters their credentials in Odoo and turns on the option. Customers choose GoCardless at checkout, with their details automatically filled out from their address, but they are editable if needed. To finish the process, they select an authorization method and display two methods: QR scan or web login. After setup, payments are linked to orders, and the admin can view transaction history on the backend, and the merchant can view transaction history in their dashboards, making payments simple and transparent.

GoCardless Payment Gateway Workflow
- Website -> Configuration -> Payment Providers, select the GOCardless payment provider.
- Provide the credentials by filling in the secret key, webhook ID, and webhook URL.
- Navigate to Website -> Configuration -> Payment Transactions, the admin can view the complete GoCardless payment transaction history from the Odoo backend.
- The merchant can review all transactions on the dashboard in their GoCardless account.

Payment Provider Page
Go to Website > Configuration > Payment Providers to view all available payment methods. Select the GoCardless option to activate the gateway.
GoCardless Payment Provider Credential
Enter the required credentials, including the secret key, webhook ID, and webhook URL, to establish a secure connection. This configuration is essential for proper data communication and transaction processing.
Payment Method
Navigate to the payment method page and toggle the GoCardless option to enable or disable it. This allows the admin to control whether GoCardless is available for transactions.
Payment Name Display
In the configuration section, confirm that the GoCardless payment method name appears properly on the provider page. This facilitates quick identification and control.
Select GoCardless at the Checkout
Choose the GoCardless payment method to proceed with your transaction. This option enables secure and automatic bank payments.
Payment Details and Confirmation
Customers are redirected to the payment page after selecting GoCardless, and are required to fill out personal details before clicking 'Continue' to proceed.
Authorize Refund Account Bank to Continue
On the next page, the customer must select the 'Consent Authorised Refund Account-Bank' option to proceed to the payment page. This step ensures the refund account is properly authorized for the transaction.
Finalize Payment Using the Set Up This Direct Debit Button
On this page, the customer must click the 'Set Up this Direct Debit' button to finalize the transaction. This completes the payment setup process.
Choose Payment Mode
Two payment methods are available: QR Scan and manual web login. Customers choose manual web login to proceed.
GoCardless Transaction
The GoCardless payment has been successfully processed.
Payment Transactions
Navigate to Website, then Configuration, and select Payment Transactions to view the complete GoCardless payment history in the backend.
Payment Transaction Detail
The GoCardless payment details, including transaction information, are available in the backend. This allows for comprehensive tracking and management of all transactions.
GoCardless Dashboard
The merchant can check the entire GoCardless payment transaction history from the dashboard.
