Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch between RFQ mode and normal mode?
Yes! RFQ mode is a simple toggle setting. You can enable or disable it anytime from Website Settings. When disabled, your shop returns to normal purchase mode instantly.
What happens to existing cart items when I enable RFQ mode?
Existing draft orders remain intact. New orders created in RFQ mode will be marked as RFQ orders. The system distinguishes between regular orders and RFQ requests automatically.
How do customers know it's quote request, not purchase?
The entire UI is adapted: "Add to Cart" becomes "Add to RFQ", prices show "Upon Request", checkout button says "Send RFQ", and confirmation page clearly states RFQ was submitted. The experience is unmistakably quote-based.
Can I have some products with prices and some without?
RFQ mode applies to the entire website. All products will be in RFQ mode when enabled. For mixed scenarios, consider using multiple websites with different settings.
Does this work with Odoo Community and Enterprise?
Yes! The module works with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions on Odoo 18.0.
Do I need to configure anything else?
No additional configuration required! Just enable RFQ Mode and your shop transforms automatically. All price hiding, checkout flow changes, and portal adjustments happen instantly.
