  • Welcome to Startup Company Selector for Odoo, an innovative solution that transforms multi-company management into a seamless experience. This module prompts users to choose companies immediately after login, ensuring a focused and efficient workflow from the start. With its intuitive interface, users can easily navigate between multiple companies, maintaining clear context and improving productivity across your organization.

  • Displays a popup window on user login for selecting companies, adapting perfectly to any screen size for optimal user experience.

  • Initializes with all active companies pre-selected based on user's current company settings, saving time and providing context awareness.

  • Provides a searchable interface to quickly find companies in large multi-company environments, improving efficiency for organizations with many entities.

  • Features a hierarchical list view that clearly shows parent-child company relationships, making it easy to navigate complex organizational structures.

  • Supports collapsible/expandable parent companies with a dedicated "Show/Hide Branches" button, allowing users to easily manage large company structures.

  • Provides fallback icons for companies without logos, ensuring consistent visual presentation throughout the interface.

  • Sets the selected companies as the active environment context, filtering views and data access accordingly.

  • Ensures smooth multi-company handling and user-specific access control, maintaining data integrity across company boundaries.

  • Allows users to easily switch between multiple active companies, improving workflow for users who need to work across multiple entities.

  • On smaller screens, the default company selection dropdown will be displayed.

How to use

  • After installing the module, users will be prompted with the company selector dialog when they log in to the system. The dialog will show all available companies with their logos and details. Companies that are currently active for the user will be pre-selected.
  • Users can search for specific companies using the search box at the top of the dialog, which filters the company in real-time. Selected companies appear as tags at the top of the dialog. Users can remove companies by deselecting the company. To select or deselect a company, users can click on the company or use the checkbox in the left corner of each line. After selecting the desired companies, click the "Confirm Selection" button to set these companies as active and continue to the Odoo dashboard.
