Product Pack Menu
The Product Pack Menu feature enables users to create, manage, and organize bundles of products, called "product packs," which are sold as a single unit. Users can access the Product Pack section from the Products dropdown menu in the top menu bar. This button navigates the page where the no. of product pack is available.
Particular Product Selection
In Odoo, to define a specific product as a pack, go to the Sales module and open the product form. By enabling the "Is a Pack?" checkbox, a Product Pack tab becomes visible, allowing the user to add individual products and specify their quantities. This option is only accessible when the checkbox is selected. The invoicing policy for such a product should be set to "Delivered Quantities" under the Sales tab to ensure billing is based on actual delivery. Stock management applies only to the individual items in the pack, not the pack itself.
Product Pack Page for Consumable
Allows users to create and sell bundled items made of consumable products. Since stock isn't tracked for consumables, it simplifies the process by avoiding inventory operations. It's ideal for selling kits or packs used for services, samples, or promotional purposes.
Product Pack Page for Storable
This page allows users to create and manage storable product packs by combining multiple items into a single product. Upon selecting the 'Product Pack' dropdown, users can view existing packs in list or kanban view and create new ones. By enabling the "Is a Pack?" option, a product is treated as a bundled item with full inventory tracking. Users can manage components, set pack prices, define storage locations, and use buttons like "Get Quantity" and "Update Quantity" for real-time stock management at the pack level.
Adding Pack to sale order
We can add the product pack to the sales order, which will be reflected in the sales quotation. In the quotation, there is a field to ââselect the packâ, where we can choose the product pack in a tag form.

How to Use This Module
- Accessing Product Pack Menu Navigate to Sales → Products → Product Pack to manage all product bundles in list or kanban view.
- Creating a Product Pack - Open or create a product from Sales → Products. - Enable the "Is a Pack?" checkbox. - A new Product Pack tab will appear. - Add products, set their quantities, and configure pricing or stock management options. - Ensure invoicing policy is set to "Delivered Quantities".
- Managing Storable Product Packs - Navigate to the Product Pack menu and open a storable product pack. - Use Get Quantity to fetch available quantities based on component stock. - Use Update Quantity to sync the pack's quantity. - Prices can be updated manually or via Update Price.
- Adding Pack to Sale Order - In a quotation, select a predefined product pack. - The pack and its components will appear in the sales order. - Only delivered components are tracked and invoiced.
