Point Of Sale Direct Login
Let dedicated POS cashiers skip the backend dashboard and land directly on the Open Register screen of their assigned Point of Sale after signing in, ready to work.
Built for Odoo 19 by 7Sisters Tech Pvt. Ltd.
Key Features
POS Only User
Mark cashiers as POS-dedicated on the user form so they are treated as register-only employees after authentication.
Default POS Store
Assign each dedicated cashier a home Point of Sale that opens automatically after login.
Login Redirect to Open Register
After sign-in, eligible cashiers are sent straight to their assigned POS Open Register screen â no backend menus in between.
Backend Access Blocked
POS-only cashiers who try to open the backend are redirected back to their assigned register. POS managers keep full backend access.
Log Out Instead of Backend
Inside POS, the Backend action becomes Log out for dedicated cashiers, including from the login screen, navbar, and session close flows.
How to Configure
- Open Settings > Users, edit the cashier, and on the Point Of Sale tab enable POS Only User.
- Select the cashier's Default POS Store.
- Log in as that user â they land on the Open Register screen and stay out of the backend.
