Website Sale Order Returns
Let portal customers return a full sales order or selected line items from the website, with reasons, image uploads, email notifications, and a dedicated My Returns screen for tracking.
Built for Odoo 19 by 7Sisters Tech Pvt. Ltd.
Key Features
Everything you need for portal returns, warehouse pickings, and email communication.
Full Order Returns
Customers can return every remaining returnable item from a delivered sales order in one click from the portal.
Partial Line Returns
Choose specific products and quantities, upload support images, and submit a polished return request without contacting support.
My Returns Portal
A dedicated portal section lists every customer return with status, amounts, items, and timeline updates.
Email Notifications
Built-in mail templates notify your sales team when a return is submitted, and inform customers when their request is approved or rejected.
Chatter & Activity Tracking
Every return request logs messages in chatter so your team can follow discussions, attachments, and status changes in one place.
Return Policy Window
Configure how many days after delivery customers are allowed to request returns at company level. The Request Return button hides when expired.
Backend Approval Workflow
Sales teams review, approve, or reject requests. Approved requests can automatically create stock return pickings for the warehouse.
Image Uploads
Customers can attach photos of damaged or incorrect items. Images are stored on the return request and linked to the return picking.
Theme-Aware Portal Design
Modern return forms, status badges, and cards that follow your website primary and secondary colors for a consistent look.
Email Workflow
Automatic mail templates keep customers and internal users informed.
1. Return Submitted
When a portal customer submits a return, the salesperson / company receives an email with order reference, reason, type, and return amount.
2. Return Approved
After approval, the customer gets an email confirmation and can follow the request anytime from My Returns in the portal.
3. Return Rejected
If a request is rejected, the customer is notified by email, including the optional rejection reason entered by your team.
How It Works
- Open Settings > Companies and set the Return Policy (Days) plus automatic picking creation.
- Deliver a confirmed website / portal sales order.
- As the portal customer, open the order and click Request Return.
- Choose Full Order Return or Partial Return, add a reason, and optionally upload images.
- Email is sent to your team; customer tracks progress under My Account > Your Returns.
- Backend users manage requests from Sales > Orders > Sale Returns â approve, reject, or open the return picking.
