ACT Advanced Access Manager
Fine-grained access profiles for menus, models & buttons – all from a single, modern dashboard.
Define reusable security profiles (per department, role or branch) and apply them to users in seconds – without touching technical settings or custom code.
Compatible with Odoo 19.0 Community & Enterprise Support: free bug fixing + paid customization on request.
1. Overview
ACT Advanced Access Manager brings a central, user-friendly layer on top of Odoo’s standard access controls. Instead of manually tweaking groups and record rules for every user, you create access profiles that combine:
- Menu Rules – hide modules/menus for selected users.
- Model Rules – define whether a profile can only view, edit (no delete) or fully manage records.
- Button Rules – block sensitive object buttons (like Confirm, Cancel, Validate).
Each profile can be assigned to any number of users, so you manage access per role (e.g. Sales Read Only, Accounting Manager, Branch Supervisor) instead of per user.
2. Key Features
- Central menu Advanced Access with an overview of all profiles.
- Each profile shows counters for Users / Menus / Models / Buttons.
- Active / Inactive flag to temporarily disable a profile without deleting it.
- "Apply Changes” button to refresh rights instantly without cache issues
- Hide specific modules or sub-menus per profile.

- Currently implemented for major business models (Sales, Purchase, Accounting, Partners) with a clear structure for extending to more models.

- Built-in Suggestion Tool scans views and suggests real buttons for each model.
- Works with method names, but hides the technical complexity from non-technical users.
3. Typical Use Cases
- Sales team can create quotations but cannot confirm them.
- Junior staff can edit orders but cannot delete any sales document.
- Branch users only see their required menus (no Accounting, no Settings, etc.).
- Block posting / cancelling journal entries for non-manager roles.
- Allow invoice creation but restrict sensitive buttons like Post or Reset to Draft.
- Separate profiles for Accountants, Auditors, and Finance Managers.
- Add extra rules on custom models by extending the existing pattern.
- Combine with Odoo standard groups and record rules for very strict environments.

5. Installation
- Install the module act_advanced_access from the Apps menu.
- Update the Apps list if needed and make sure all dependencies are installed.
- Log in with an administrator user.
6. Initial Configuration
- Go to Advanced Access ▸ Access Profiles.
- Create a new profile (for example: Sales – No Delete).
- Assign users in the Users section.
- Add Menu Rules to hide modules/menus they should not see.
- Add Model Rules and choose the access level: View / Edit (no delete) / Full.
- Add Button Rules for the models where you want to block critical actions.
- Click Apply changes (or open General Settings once) to ensure all caches are refreshed.
7. Notes & Limitations
- The module builds on top of Odoo security; it does not replace standard groups & access rights.
- Currently, the strongest integration is with core business models: Sales, Purchase, Accounting and Partners.
- For very advanced customizations, a developer can extend the same pattern to extra models.
- If a user belongs to multiple profiles, the most restrictive rules will apply for that model.

ACT Advanced Access Manager هو موديول للتحكم المتقدم في الصلاحيات على مستوى القوائم (Menus) والمديلات (Models) والأزرار (Buttons) من خلال بروفايلات جاهزة تربطها بالمستخدمين.
الفكرة الأساسية
- تسوي بروفايل صلاحيات (مثلاً: "موظف مبيعات"، "مدير مبيعات"، "محاسب").
- تربط فيه المستخدمين اللي ينطبق عليهم نفس مستوى الصلاحية.
- من نفس البروفايل تتحكم في:
- إظهار/إخفاء التطبيقات والقوائم (Menu Rules).
- مستوى الوصول على أهم المديلات (View / Edit-No-Delete / Full).
- منع أزرار معيّنة (Confirm, Cancel, Post, Lock, …).

المبيعات:
موظف المبيعات يقدر يفتح ويعدل عروض الأسعار، لكن:- ما يقدر يحذف أو يؤكد (Confirm) الطلب إلا مديره.
- وما يشوف إلا تطبيق المبيعات والقوائم اللي تهمه.

المشتريات:
المشتري يضيف ويعدّل أوامر الشراء، لكن أزرار التأكيد والإلغاء والـ Lock محجوزة للمدير فقط. -
المحاسبة:
المحاسب يشتغل على الفواتير، لكن ما يقدر يعمل Post أو Cancel إلا إذا كان ضمن بروفايل أعلى.
مزايا إضافية
- زر Refresh / Suggestions يجمع لك أسماء الأزرار (method names) من الواجهات ويعرضها كاقتراحات، فلا تحتاج تدور على الاسم البرمجي بنفسك.
- زر Apply Changes من شاشة البروفايل يفتح إعدادات أودو بحيث تنطبق تغييرات الصلاحيات فوراً.
- إمكانية إضافة مديلات وأزرار مخصصة حسب طلب العميل كخدمة مدفوعة.
الموديول موجه للشركات اللي تبغى تحكم أدق من مجرد المجموعات الافتراضية في أودو، بدون تعقيد كبير أو تداخل في صلاحيات المستخدمين.
