Overview

What This Module Does

The default Odoo image field shows a small thumbnail with no way to enlarge it. Advanced Image Preview patches the built-in ImageField to open a sleek full-screen overlay on click — complete with a floating control toolbar.

✓	Drag to pan when zoomed in beyond the screen

✓	Rotate in 90° steps with the rotate button

Use the scroll wheel or toolbar +/− buttons to zoom from 20% up to 500%. Live zoom percentage indicator keeps you oriented.

Step 01

Image Field on a Sales Record

Here's a standard Odoo sales record showing an image field displaying a product photo as a thumbnail. Before this module, clicking the image did nothing — you'd have to open the product separately just to see a larger view.

Step 02

Full-Screen Preview with Toolbar

Click any image and the full-resolution preview opens instantly with a blurred backdrop. The floating toolbar at the bottom gives you zoom controls, a live percentage indicator, rotate, download, and close — all in one place. Click the overlay or press Esc to exit.
