Advanced Menu Access Control
A dedicated, standalone Odoo 19 module for fine-grained menu and submenu visibility management — no dependency on any other access-management addon.
Key Features
- Hide Selected Menus — remove specific menus from the navigation bar for targeted users/groups.
- Show Only Selected Menus — whitelist specific menus; everything else is hidden automatically.
- Apply rules per user, per group, or per company with explicit exclude lists.
- Include Child Menus — cascade the rule to all sub-menus in one click.
- Auto-Include Parents — in Show Only mode, ancestor menus stay visible so navigation remains intact.
- Priority ordering — when multiple rules conflict, the highest-priority rule wins (range 1–100).
- Schedule window — restrict enforcement to a date range (Active From / Active Until).
- User Domain Filter — extra Odoo domain for surgical targeting.
- Active / Inactive toggle — quickly enable or disable any rule.
- Chatter tracking — every field change is logged automatically.
Architecture
The module overrides ir.ui.menu._visible_menu_ids and applies all
active amac.menu.rule records in priority order. Superusers (OdooBot,
Administrator) are always exempt.
