Overview
This module provides seamless integration of Anthropic's Claude AI models into the Odoo environment, enabling businesses to harness advanced AI-driven capabilities such as natural conversational chatbots, intelligent agents, and automation workflows. It supports multiple Claude models including the latest Sonnet and Opus versions, and enhances AI interactions with context-aware responses using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) via OpenAI or Google embeddings. The module features secure API key management, customizable AI behavior parameters like temperature control, and compatibility with Odoo's existing AI frameworks and tool calling mechanisms, making it a comprehensive solution for embedding cutting-edge AI reasoning and automation directly into Odoo applications. This integration empowers users with sophisticated business intelligence, customer service automation, and enhanced content generation within their ERP system.
Features
- Latest Claude AI models (Sonnet 4.5, Opus 4.1, 3.7, Haiku) with advanced reasoning for complex agents, automation, and coding assistance.
- Context-aware responses powered by RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) using business data and embedded document search.
- Multi-provider flexibility: works seamlessly with OpenAI and Google Gemini, supporting multi-source AI integration for broader intelligence.
- Secure API key management, temperature tuning (creativity/accuracy control), and tool calling for smooth business process automation within Odoo.
- Supports a wide range of use cases like chatbots, document analysis, automatic email responses, sales recommendations, HR screening, finance reporting, code assistance, and knowledge base Q&A.
Configuration & Usage
- Configuration & Usage
- Configure the module via Odoo Settings: Enable Claude AI integration and enter your Anthropic Claude API key (starting with sk-ant-), then verify the connection using the built-in test button to ensure successful API access.
- Create and use AI agents within Odoo that leverage Claude models for advanced reasoning, natural conversations, and automation workflows. Customize parameters like temperature for creativity control, and integrate with business documents for context-aware responses using RAG.
- User Access Rights
- Users need to be assigned appropriate permissions to access and utilize the AI Claude features within Odoo.
- Configure user permissions by navigating to Settings >> Users & Companies >> Users in Odoo.
- Assign users to relevant security groups that authorize usage of AI agents and Claude model integrations.
- Make sure users have access rights to manage AI configurations and handle AI-driven automation workflows as required.
- Access control ensures only authorized users can view AI outputs, trigger AI agents, and manage API keys securely.
- How to View AI Claude in Odoo
- Go to AI Agents menu in Odoo after installing and configuring the AI Claude module with a valid API key.
- Create a new AI agent or open an existing one, and select the Claude model (like Sonnet 4.5 or Opus 4.1) from the model dropdown.
- Interact with the AI agent through the provided chat interface or automated workflows configured in the system.
- The AI Claude model generates responses based on your prompts and can utilize business documents for context-aware answers if RAG is enabled.
- Check the AI-generated outputs and logs within Odoo’s AI Agent view to monitor and manage interactions.
