Focus Dashboards
Focus Dashboards lets you build two kinds of board. Reporting boards combine data from several Odoo apps on one screen — orders, invoices, tasks, stock. Attention boards can be built for anything that needs following up — Sales at risk, Overdue receivables, Approvals pending, and more.
Report across your whole Odoo — KPIs, charts, maps, tables and pivots.
|
Act on what needs doing — overdue, due today and coming up, ranked.
|
Works on Odoo 17, 18 and 19 · Community & Enterprise · installs in minutes · self-hosted, with no external services.

Most dashboards tell you what happened.
This one also tells you what to do.
Two things in one place: numbers for the people who plan, and a short list for the people who act. Every board runs with the viewer’s own Odoo permissions, so it can never show data they should not see — multi-company throughout, with an audit trail nobody can edit. The Today briefing is the front door: each user opens their own live short list of what matters most.
Up and running in three steps
1 · Install — copy the module into your addons folder and install. No API keys, no sign-ups, nothing between you and your data.
2 · Pick a pack — or build your own — start from 17 ready-made packs (My Work, Team Focus, Collections, Sales at risk, CRM Pipeline, Finance and more), or create a dashboard from scratch in the no-code builder. Every pack adapts to the apps you actually have installed.
3 · Share — publish and choose who sees it: specific users, groups, or everyone. Users get their briefing; managers get their numbers.
The attention engine
A briefing, not another inbox.
- Today greets each user with their own priorities: breached alerts first, then the most urgent items across all their attention boards — overdue before due-today, biggest amounts first — with pointers to the boards that hold the rest.
- Attention rules — overdue, due within N days, older than N days — always compare to today, so a 90-day-old invoice can never hide inside “this month”.
- Feeds arrive in urgency lanes — Overdue · Due today · Upcoming · Needs action — and every item shows why it’s there (due date, customer, amount) and opens the record in one click.
- Personal boards show each user their own work; Team boards give managers a person filter across the whole team. Open any feed in the native Odoo list to work the records.
Reporting managers actually trust
- 15 widget types: KPI cards · bar, horizontal bar, line, area, pie, donut and funnel charts · geographic maps · tables, lists, pivots and summaries · priority and activity feeds.
- Dimension filters across the whole board — salesperson, customer, or any relation — combined freely with widget-level filters.
- Advanced date control: ranges from “today” to “this year”, a fully custom from–to picker, and per-widget opt-out so an attention KPI is never hidden by the date window.
- Drill-down everywhere: click any chart segment, KPI or row and land in the native Odoo list or form view, on the exact records. The counts always match.
- Always live: numbers are computed from your database the moment you look, with optional auto-refresh per board and one-click refresh per widget — no copies, no syncs, no stale caches.
- Take it with you: export any widget or the whole dashboard to Excel / CSV, download charts as images, or print the executive Management Pack PDF.
- Multi-company ready: data, boards, filter values and digests all follow the company switcher. Responsive layout — boards reflow cleanly on smaller screens.
KPI alerts: “tell me when this crosses a line”
- Any user clicks the bell on a KPI and sets a threshold — the period and filters they were looking at are captured automatically.
- One email per crossing — never spam. Breached alerts stay visible in the Today briefing until the number recovers.
- Alerts survive dashboard edits, pause when a board is archived, and notify their owner if a board is deleted. Every notification is logged on the alert.
Email digests on a schedule
- Send any dashboard hourly, daily, weekly or monthly — with Excel and PDF attachments if you want them.
- Each recipient’s email is rendered with their own access, or switch to complete-data mode for exec summaries. Pin a digest to specific companies in multi-company setups.
- Every send is logged on the schedule — who received it, who was skipped and why, which files went out — and every settings change is tracked.
Create dashboards from templates — or from scratch.
No code. No SQL.
- Start from any template and make it yours, or begin with a blank canvas — point, click, done. No SQL, no code, no consultants.
- Section-based layout with point-and-click arrange controls, smart pickers for data sources, measures, group-bys and filters, and a live preview while you configure.
- Friendly filters compile to a visible Odoo domain for power users; attention rules are one click.
- Draft & publish: viewers keep seeing the published version while you edit; publishing keeps a change note; version history restores in one click. Save any board as a reusable template.
Access control, your way
- Who sees a board is decided in the module: specific users, groups, or all internal users. What they see is the author’s choice per board: respect each viewer’s Odoo security roles (default), or show the full data to everyone it’s shared with.
- Three roles, clearly separated: User (view & alerts) · Dashboard Builder (self-service authoring of their own boards) · Administrator (everything, incl. sharing, audit and schedules).
- An immutable usage & audit log records creations, edits, publications, sharing changes and deletions. Multi-company aware throughout.

Frequently asked questions
Which Odoo versions and editions are supported?
Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0 — Community and Enterprise alike. One purchase covers the version you buy for; the module behaves identically across them.
Can a dashboard show someone data they shouldn’t see?
No. Every query runs with the viewer’s own Odoo permissions — model access and record rules always apply. The one deliberate exception: an administrator can mark a specific board as “full data” for everyone it’s shared with, and that choice is theirs, per board.
Does any data leave our server?
No external services, no telemetry, no activation keys — everything (queries, charts, emails, PDFs) runs inside your own Odoo.
Do we need all Odoo apps installed for the packs?
No. Packs adapt: widgets for apps you don’t have simply show a friendly “not available” note instead of an error, and the rest of the board works normally.
Who can build dashboards? Do we need a developer?
No code, no SQL, no developer required. A user with the Dashboard Builder role creates boards from templates or from scratch, with point-and-click pickers and a live preview — plus advanced domain filters when a power user wants finer control.
How disruptive is installing or removing it?
Install is a standard module install — no configuration required to start. Uninstall removes the module’s own tables and scheduled jobs cleanly and touches nothing else in your database.
What support is included?
90 days of support from purchase, by email, covering setup questions and any defects.
Is it translated? Multi-currency?
The interface ships in English today. Amounts display in your company’s currency; cross-currency conversion inside a single widget is on our roadmap. Multi-company is fully supported.
Built to be trusted
No external services, no activation keys, no telemetry — everything runs inside your own Odoo, self-hosted. A dashboard can never show a user more than their Odoo permissions allow, unless the author explicitly chooses full-data sharing. Missing an app? Widgets degrade to a friendly note, never an error.

Focus Dashboards
Governed dashboards plus an attention layer for Odoo 17, 18 and 19 (Community & Enterprise).
Getting started
- Install the module (Apps > Focus Dashboards). No configuration is required.
- Assign roles on each user's form under the Focus Dashboards selection: User (view shared dashboards, the Today briefing, personal alerts), Dashboard Builder (create and manage own dashboards), or Administrator (manage everything).
- Open Focus Dashboards > Administration > Templates and create your first dashboards from the ready-made packs, or build one from scratch under New Dashboard.
- Publish, then share each dashboard with users, groups, or all internal users from its form.
The Today briefing
Focus Dashboards > Today greets each user with their breached alerts and the most urgent items across their personal attention boards, ranked by urgency (overdue first, then due today, then upcoming), with pointers to the boards holding the rest. Items open the source record in one click.
Attention boards
Attention boards are action lists driven by attention rules (overdue, due within N days, older than N days) that always resolve against today. Each feed is split into urgency lanes; the legend pills filter lanes; every feed can be opened in the native Odoo list view. Team boards add an automatic Person filter for managers; what each viewer sees is decided by their own Odoo access.
Reporting dashboards
Fifteen widget types (KPIs, charts, maps, tables, lists, pivots, summaries and feeds) with dashboard-wide dimension filters, date ranges including a custom from-to picker, drill-down to native views, Excel/CSV export, chart image download and the Management Pack PDF.
Alerts and email schedules
Click the bell on any KPI to be emailed when it crosses a threshold - one email per crossing; the alert stays visible in Today while breached. Email schedules send any dashboard on a cadence, rendered per recipient with their own access (or complete data, at the author's choice), with optional Excel and PDF attachments, company pinning, and a full send log in the schedule's chatter.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a dashboard leak data?
- No. Every query runs with the viewer's own Odoo permissions. Only an administrator can mark a specific board "full data", and that choice is explicit and per board.
- Does any data leave our server?
- No. There are no external services, no telemetry and no activation keys.
- Do packs require all Odoo apps?
- No - widgets for missing apps degrade to a friendly note.
- What support is included?
- 90 days of email support from purchase.
