Notification Bar for Odoo
Display Important Notices, Announcements, and Company Policies with Scheduled Visibility
Overview
Notification Bar is a professional communication tool for Odoo 19 that displays important notifications, announcements, and company policies at the top or bottom of your interface. Schedule notifications to appear automatically, customize colors for different message types, and ensure your team stays informed without disrupting their workflow!
Key Features
- Scheduled Notifications - Set start and end dates for automatic display of time-sensitive messages
- Customizable Colors - Set unique background and text colors for each notification type
- Priority System - Control which notification displays with Low, Normal, High, and Urgent priority levels
- Smart Message Merging - All active notifications automatically merge into one display separated by " | ", ordered by priority from highest to lowest, with colors following the highest priority notification
- Flexible Positioning - Choose to display notifications at the top or bottom of the screen
- Scroll Speed Control - Adjust message scrolling speed to match your reading pace
- Removable Option - Allow users to temporarily close non-critical notifications
- Multi-Company Support - Target notifications to specific companies or display to all
- Real-Time Updates - Notifications refresh automatically every 5 minutes
How It Works
Step 1: Enable and Configure
Go to Settings > General Settings and enable Notification Bar. Configure the position (Top/Bottom) and scroll speed to match your preferences.
Step 2: Access Notification Menu
Navigate to Settings > Technical > Notification Bar to manage all your notifications in one central location.
Step 3: Manage Notifications
View all your notifications in a clean list view with priority indicators, dates, and quick actions for editing or archiving.
Step 4: Create Notification
Create and edit notifications with all configuration options including title, message, priority, schedule dates, custom colors, and removable option.
Step 5: Display - Non-Removable
Critical notifications display without a close button, ensuring important messages remain visible to all users.
Step 6: Display - Removable
Optional notifications show a close button with adaptive color that adjusts to the background, allowing users to dismiss non-critical messages temporarily.
