Turn Odoo into your phone.
A complete softphone inside the Odoo backend. Place and receive calls right from the systray — no desk phone, no separate app.
Works with Asterisk — or any PBX or provider that speaks SIP over secure WebSocket (FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Twilio, Telnyx…). Every call is logged straight to your CRM.
Stop leaving Odoo to make a call
Reaching for a desk phone or a separate softphone means lost context, copy-pasted numbers, and calls logged by hand — if at all. Asterisk VoIP puts the phone where your team already works: click to dial, see who's calling with their full contact card, juggle several calls at once, and have every conversation written straight to the customer's record.
See it in action
A softphone that floats with you
Drag it anywhere on screen and keep working — it stays on top as you move around Odoo, and remembers exactly where you left it.
Dial without leaving Odoo
A full softphone in your systray — keypad, status, search, favorites and history, one click away.
Set your presence
Available, Away, Busy or Do Not Disturb — shown on the icon, and DND can update your PBX.
Search & call instantly
Find any contact inside the softphone and place the call in a single tap.
One-tap favorites
Star the people you call most for instant quick-dial.
Full call controls
Mute, hold, send DTMF tones and juggle several calls without missing a beat.
Transfer like a pro
Blind or attended — announce the call, then complete the transfer in a tap.
Know who's calling — jump straight to them
Incoming and outgoing calls are matched against your Contacts, leads and tickets. One click opens the record full-screen — while the softphone keeps floating on top.
Record calls and replay them in a click
Switch on recording and every answered softphone call is captured in the browser and attached to its log. Play it back with the inline player right inside Call History — no downloads, no external tools.
Browser-side recording — it does not require or use PBX/server-side recording.
A closer look
Configuration, made simple
Everything lives in one place — Settings → Asterisk VoIP — with plain-language guidance on every option, so you're up and running in minutes.
Connect to your phone system
Point the softphone at your Asterisk server over secure WebSocket — or start in Demo mode and explore the interface with no PBX at all. Each agent's SIP login lives on their own user record.
Reliable audio anywhere
Optional STUN/TURN keeps two-way audio flowing for agents behind firewalls or NAT — essential for remote and home-based teams.
Tie every call to your data
Log calls to the chatter, offer follow-up activities, enable click-to-call on every phone field, and surface a To-Call list. Turn on only what you need.
Dial local, identify everyone
Auto-format local numbers into proper international format, and match incoming and outgoing numbers to Contacts, leads, tickets or any custom model so agents always know who's on the line.
Record and replay, compliantly
Capture answered calls right in the agent's browser and attach them to the call log — with clear in-app guidance on consent and storage. This is browser-side recording, not PBX/server-side recording: it covers softphone calls while the Odoo tab is open (desk-phone calls aren't captured).
Three things it does brilliantly
A real dial-pad in the systray, click-to-dial on every phone field, contact search and one-tap favorites.
Mute, DTMF keypad, hold/resume, attended & blind transfer, and call waiting — juggle multiple calls with ease.
Every call is posted to the contact's chatter, optionally recorded, tagged with an outcome, and rolled up into a live agent & team dashboard.
What's inside
A dialer in the systray
A modern dial-pad with letters, a live call timer and the contact's photo — always one click away, on every screen.
Call any number in Odoo
A call button on every phone field — contacts, leads, tickets — dials and links the call to that record.
Know who's calling
A pop-up card matches the caller to a contact, with accept/reject, a browser notification and a ringtone.
Call waiting, handled
Take a second call without dropping the first — the current call holds automatically and you switch in a tap.
Warm or blind transfer
"Ask first" to announce the call to a colleague, then connect them — or transfer instantly.
Calls in the chatter
Each call is written to the contact — and the record you called from — with direction, status and duration.
Never drop the ball
When a call ends, schedule a follow-up activity in one step — it lands in the contact's planner and your to-do list.
Search, redial, report
Full call history with click-to-redial, call outcomes, and graph & pivot analysis by agent, direction and period.
Set your status
Available, Away, Busy or Do Not Disturb — shown right on the systray phone. Fully configurable, and DND can drive your PBX via feature codes.
Record & play back
Optionally record answered calls in the browser (client-side, not PBX recording) — the audio is attached to the call and plays back inline in Call History.
See the whole picture
A live dashboard with calls, talk time, missed and answered-rate KPIs, a 7-day volume chart, call outcomes and a per-agent team table.
In control
Per-user SIP credentials, auto-reconnect, STUN/TURN, and feature toggles for chatter, click-to-call, follow-ups, to-call list and recording.
Warm transfer, step by step
You're on a call with the customer.
Hit Transfer → Ask first — the customer goes on hold and you ring your colleague.
Announce the call while the customer waits.
Complete transfer — the two are connected and you drop out.
Works with your PBX
Asterisk (chan_pjsip, WSS + WebRTC) — native
FreeSWITCH · Kamailio · OpenSIPS — native
Cloud SIP (Twilio, Telnyx, OnSIP…) — native
3CX & other closed PBXs — needs a WebRTC–SIP gateway
If your PBX accepts SIP over secure WebSocket, it works directly. Closed systems that only allow their own apps need a small gateway in front.
Who it's for
Call leads with one click and keep every conversation logged on the opportunity.
See the caller's record on the incoming pop-up and log the call against their ticket.
Handle several calls, hold, and warm-transfer to the right person — all from the browser.
Questions, answered
No. Calls run in the browser over WebRTC — you just need a microphone and a supported PBX.
Any that speaks SIP over secure WebSocket — Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, or a cloud SIP provider. 3CX and other closed systems need a WebRTC–SIP gateway.
Yes — to the contact's chatter and the call history. Both chatter logging and follow-up activities can be toggled per database.
Yes — call waiting holds the active call so you can answer another, switch between them, and warm-transfer.
Optionally, yes — and it's important to know how it works. This is browser-side recording, not PBX or server-side recording: when enabled, the softphone captures the audio of answered calls in the agent's browser and attaches it to the call for inline playback. It only covers softphone calls while the Odoo tab stays open, and does not capture desk-phone calls. Please ensure you comply with local call-recording and consent laws.
Agent status (Available/Away/Busy/DND) shows in Odoo; Do Not Disturb can also be pushed to the PBX via configurable feature codes (e.g. *78/*79).
Requirements
- Odoo 19.0 (Community or Enterprise).
- A PBX exposing SIP over secure WebSocket (WSS) with a valid TLS certificate — browsers require it.
- WebRTC media (DTLS-SRTP, ICE) and per-user SIP credentials.
- STUN/TURN recommended for calls across NAT. JsSIP is bundled — no CDN.
- To call/receive real phone numbers, you supply your own SIP trunk and DIDs from any provider (Telnyx, Twilio, a local telco…) and configure them on your PBX. Per-minute and number charges are billed by that provider — the module places calls through whatever trunk you set up.
Bring the phone into Odoo.
Install Asterisk VoIP and your team calls, transfers and logs every conversation — without ever leaving Odoo.
