Zero-Value Clutter
When Odoo computes a payslip, every salary rule in the structure is evaluated — even those that result in $0.00. These zero-value lines clutter the payslip, making it harder to read and potentially confusing for employees reviewing their pay stubs.
Missing Structure Inputs
Salary structures define input types (other entries) that should appear on every payslip, but Odoo doesn't automatically populate them. This module ensures all configured input types from the structure are injected into the payslip, ready for the user to fill in amounts.

Step-by-Step implementation
1. Automatic Cleanup (No Configuration Needed)
Once installed, the module works automatically in 3 moments:
- Compute Sheet: Zero-value salary lines are removed after calculation.
- Confirm Payslip: Zero-value worked days and inputs are removed on confirmation.
- Batch Generation: Structure inputs are injected during mass payslip generation.
2. Manual "Eliminate Zeros" Button
For manual control when needed:
One-Click Cleanup
Open any payslip and click the "Eliminate Zeros" button (located next to "Print Payslip"). This instantly removes all zero-value salary lines, worked days, and input entries.
Safe Re-execution
The button can be pressed multiple times safely. If there are no zero-value lines, nothing happens. Use it after manual adjustments to ensure a clean payslip.
3. Structure Input Injection
Automatically populates input entries from your salary structure:
Automatic Population
When you select an employee or salary structure, the module reads the Input Line Types configured in the structure and creates corresponding input lines on the payslip with amount = 0, ready for the user to fill in.
Utilities Integration
If the data.utilities module is installed, the system automatically fills in utility factor values (UTL_003 for days, UTL_004 for amounts) from the active utilities configuration.

Scenario 1: Automatic Zero Removal on Compute
- Go to Payroll > Payslips and create a new payslip.
- Select an employee with a salary structure containing rules that evaluate to 0.
- Click "Compute Sheet".
- Result: The "Salary Computation" tab should NOT contain any lines with Total = 0.00.
Scenario 2: Zero Cleanup on Confirmation
- After computing, manually add a worked day with 0 days and an input with amount = 0.
- Click "Confirm" (action_payslip_done).
- Result: The zero-value worked days and inputs are automatically removed upon confirmation.
Scenario 3: Manual "Eliminate Zeros" Button
- Open a draft payslip that has been computed.
- Manually add zero-value lines to any tab.
- Click the "Eliminate Zeros" button.
- Result: All zero-value salary lines, worked days, and inputs are removed instantly.
Scenario 4: Structure Input Injection
- Configure a salary structure with Input Line Types (e.g., Bonus, Commission).
- Create a payslip selecting that structure.
- Result: The "Other Inputs" tab should contain all input types defined in the structure, with amount = 0, ready to be filled.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Resolutions
Zeros still showing after Compute?
Reason: The module only removes lines where total is exactly 0.00. If a rule produces a very small value (e.g., 0.01), it will remain.
Fix: Review the salary rule formula. To force removal, use the manual "Eliminate Zeros" button after correcting the value.
Input types not appearing on payslip?
Reason: The salary structure may not have input line types configured.
Fix: Go to Payroll > Configuration > Structures, select your structure, and add the desired Input Line Types in the configuration.
Does it affect confirmed/paid payslips?
Answer: No.
Detail: The automatic cleanup only runs during computation and confirmation. Once a payslip is confirmed, no further changes are made by this module.
Is it safe for batch payroll processing?
Answer: Yes!
Detail: The module integrates seamlessly with batch payroll runs (Payslip Batches). Zero-value cleanup and input injection work correctly in mass generation.
