The Solution: One Scan, Fully Understood
Many warehouse and manufacturing barcodes pack more than one piece of information into a single code - a product number and a lot number, for example, separated by a hyphen or a space. Standard Odoo reads only the first field and ignores the rest.
The Barcode Multi-Field Rule module teaches Odoo to split that single scan into all of its parts. You describe the layout once on the barcode rule - visually, row by row - and every scan is broken down into product, lot, location and more, automatically.
How It Works

Open the Rule
In Settings > Inventory > Barcode Nomenclatures, open your non-GS1 nomenclature and add a rule of type "Multi-field".

Describe the Layout
Add one segment row per part of the barcode, in scan order. Pick a field type and give it a simple pattern.

The matching expression is generated and previewed for you as you edit - there is nothing to write by hand.
