BridgeStay 360 β Configuration Guide
This guide explains how BridgeStay 360 global master data is structured, how to copy and customize templates, and how each configuration area affects operations.
Master Data Architecture
BridgeStay separates global catalogue/templates from company-specific configuration:
Global catalogue / system template β Copy or select β Company record β Operational use
Global defaults are loaded at installation even when demo data is disabled. They are identified by:
- company_id empty (global)
- is_system_template = True
- Stable XML IDs with noupdate="1" bootstrap files
Customer edits to copied company records are never overwritten on module upgrade. New system defaults introduced in upgrades are added idempotently.
Channel Catalogue and Channel Accounts
Channel Catalogue (bb.stay.channel.catalog)
The catalogue lists worldwide booking platforms. These are reference records only unless marked Production Ready.

Only BridgeStay Direct, Manual / Offline, and Generic iCal are marked Production Ready in the default catalogue.
Channel Accounts (bb.stay.channel.account)
Create operational connections under Channels β Channel Accounts:
- Select a platform from Channel List
- Review the platform description and native adapter status
- Choose a Connection Method:
- Manual
- Generic iCal
- Native API
- External Channel Manager
- Feed/Metasearch
- Direct Website
- Complete only the fields relevant to that method
- Connect when credentials and adapter readiness allow
External OTAs default to Catalogue Only or Partner Approval Required. BridgeStay does not claim live OTA connectivity without tested credentials.
Maintenance Categories
Global maintenance categories include priority, charge responsibility, default unit-blocking behaviour, and SLA hours.
- Blocks unit = Yes β new requests default to blocking the unit from sale.
- Conditional β block only when the issue affects guest safety or habitability; authorized users may override per request.
- SLA hours β target resolution time for reporting and escalation.
Use Copy to My Company on a system template to create a company-specific variant.
Cleaning Templates
Twenty default cleaning templates cover turnover, deep clean, mid-stay refresh, pet stays, post-maintenance, and specialty scenarios.
Each template includes ordered checklist lines with:
- Section grouping
- Required / optional flag
- Estimated minutes
- Evidence requirement where applicable
Housekeeping tasks inherit checklist lines from the selected template when work is scheduled.
Inspection Templates
Inspection templates define:
- Pass thresholds
- Weighted questions
- Critical checks
- Evidence requirements
- Unit-blocking behaviour on failure
Critical failures on guest-ready inspections can block clearance until corrective action and reinspection are complete, when configured in operational workflows.
Commission Rule Templates
Commission templates are financially inactive until copied to a company and explicitly activated. This prevents contractual percentages from being applied silently.
Supported calculation methods include:
- Gross percentage
- Net percentage
- Fixed per booking
- Fixed per night

- Tiered revenue
- Tiered occupancy
- Channel-specific
- Length-of-stay
- Cost markup
- Fee allocation
Example tier templates are seeded for revenue and occupancy bands. Review and adjust them before contractual use.
Copying and Customizing Templates
On any global system template form, click Copy to My Company.
The copied record:
- Is scoped to your active company
- Is editable without affecting the global template
- Can be archived if not needed
- For commission rules, remains financially inactive until you activate it
Search and Filters
Each configuration area includes search filters for:
- System templates
- Company copies
- Calculation method
- Priority
- Connection method
- Native adapter status
- Company grouping, where relevant
Security
- Operational managers can read global templates.
- Configuration managers and company administrators can edit system defaults, create channel accounts, and activate financial commission rules.
- Housekeepers and inspectors cannot edit master templates unless explicitly granted configuration access.
