The BBTech Zoho Expense Connector provides enterprise-grade synchronization between Zoho Expense and Odoo Expenses. Synchronize expense reports with all line items, receipts, approval workflows, and optionally post to accounting. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will expenses be posted to accounting automatically?
A: By default, expenses are created in draft state and not posted automatically. You can enable auto-posting in settings, but we recommend manual review for financial documents.
Q: How are employees resolved for expenses?
A: If the Zoho People connector is installed, employees are resolved via bindings. Otherwise, employees are matched by work email. A default employee fallback is available.
Q: What happens if a category isn't mapped?
A: If a Zoho expense category isn't mapped to an Odoo product, the default expense product is used. A warning is logged so you can set up the mapping.
Q: Are receipt images included in sync?
A: Yes, receipts are downloaded from Zoho and attached to the corresponding expense in Odoo. There's a configurable size limit to prevent large files from causing issues.
Q: Does approval in Zoho update Odoo?
A: Yes, when a report is approved in Zoho Expense, the status syncs to Odoo (if status sync is enabled). The same applies in reverse if bidirectional status sync is configured.
