Overview
Sale Margin Analytics and Reporting
The Sales Margin module automatically calculates the profit margin for each product in sales quotations and orders. You can view these margins in Odoo’s standard Sales reports—List, Pivot, and Graph. It also provides a separate Sales Margin Report for detailed profit analysis. This helps sales teams set the right prices and track profitability without manual calculations.

Configuration
Enable Margin Calculation
Navigate to Sales → Settings and activate Margins to Show Margins on Sales Orders.
Set Product Cost
Ensure each product has a defined cost under Products → Cost.
Create a Quotation
When adding products, the system will automatically display cost, sales price, and calculated margin.
Sales Analysis Report
Access the Sales Report by going to Sales Module → Reporting → Sales Analysis Report
To analyze margins by product, salesperson, or customer using List, Pivot, and Graph views.
Sales Margin Report
Print the Sales Margin Report by going to Sales Module → Reporting → Sales Margin Report .
Sales Margin Report
Configure the Sales Margin Report by using the wizard to apply filters such as Customers, sales team and period length.
Tick Highlight Positive Margin to display positive margins in a highlighted format, and tick Highlight Negative Margin to display negative margins in a highlighted format.
Generated Pdf report for Sales Margin
If no records are found for the selected date or filters the system will display a validation error: 'No sale orders found.’
