Setup
- Obtain an active BG TEL account, API key, approved sender ID, and SMS balance.
- Install the module and open Settings > SMS > BG TEL SMS.
- Create the company account, test the connection, configure an approved sender, then explicitly enable the provider.
- Send through ordinary Odoo SMS workflows.
Accurate operational controls
Documented API only
Uses the published HTTPS endpoints for sending, balance, and delivery-report polling. No undocumented callback or sender-discovery claim.
Sanitized logs
Stores operational references and statuses without API credentials or message content, with configurable retention.
Sender control
Live sending requires an active, approved, company-specific sender record.

Privacy and external service
BG TEL is an external SMS service. Enabling this provider transmits recipient phone numbers, message content, sender ID, transaction category, and delivery metadata to BG TEL. Your organization must be authorized to process and transmit this information.
This Odoo module is free. A separate active BG TEL account, approved sender, and paid SMS balance are required. BG TEL SMS service charges apply; estimates shown by Odoo are not the provider's billing ledger. For SMS rate finalization, contact BG TEL LTD at support@bgtelgroup.com.
Supported environments
Designed for Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise on Odoo.sh, self-hosted Linux, and Docker deployments. Odoo Online is not supported because it does not permit custom Python modules.
