Centralized Control for Blackout Day Leave Handling
This screen shows the new Blackout Day Leave Behavior option added to Odooâs General Settings. Administrators can globally define how the system should react when an employee applies for Time Off on a mandatory working (blackout) day.
Configurable Leave Enforcement Options
The Blackout Day Leave Behavior setting provides two flexible options. This allows HR teams to choose between soft guidance or strict enforcement based on company policy.
Dedicated Blackout Days Configuration Menu
A new Blackout Days submenu is added under the Time Off module configuration. This provides HR managers with a dedicated area to define and manage mandatory working days separately from regular leave rules.
Overview of Configured Blackout Days
This list view displays all configured blackout day records in one place, allowing administrators to quickly review, enable, disable, or manage mandatory working day rules.
Detailed Blackout Day Definition
This form view allows HR managers to define blackout days with precision. This flexibility ensures blackout rules apply only to relevant employees and work schedules.
Real-Time Warning During Leave Application
When the behavior is set to Show Warning Only, user receive an immediate warning while applying for Time Off on a blackout day. This proactive alert informs users without blocking their workflow.
Strict Enforcement with Validation Error
When the behavior is set to Block Leave, the system prevents submission of Time Off requests that overlap with blackout days. A clear validation error is displayed.
