Contact groups

Contacts app gets a Groups menu next to Contacts. Build reusable groups and send bulk SMS to every member in one click.

Message any selection of contacts

Select contacts in a list view and send them all a single SMS in one action — no need to message them one by one.

Personalized with placeholders

Use {{field_name}} in your message and it's replaced with each contact's own field value — name, phone, birthdate, and more.

Free Birthday SMS

Install the separate Birthday SMS module at no extra cost for daily birthday wishes with an editable template.

Installation Guide

Requirements
  • Odoo 19.0
  • An SMS gateway/IAP configured so SMS can be sent
Installation
  • Download the module as a ZIP file
  • Extract to your Odoo addons directory
  • Restart Odoo service
  • Go to Apps menu and click "Update Apps List"
  • Search for "Bulk SMS" and install

Configuration and Usage Guide

Contact groups
  • Open Contacts → Groups to see every group you've created, with a running count of members and how many have a phone number on file. Contact SMS groups list
  • Open a group to manage its members and click Send Bulk SMS — either from the header button or the SMS Recipients stat button — to message everyone in the group with a phone number. Contact SMS group form with members and Send Bulk SMS button
Sending a bulk SMS
  • From Contacts, select the recipients you want to message, then open Actions → "Send Bulk SMS". Send Bulk SMS action in the Contacts list
  • Type your message in the Message Template field. You can include any partner field with {{field_name}} — for example {{name}}, {{phone}}, {{email}} or {{birthdate_date}} — and it's replaced with that contact's own value when the SMS is sent.   • Click "Send SMS" and every selected contact with a phone number on file receives the message right away. Bulk SMS received by a customer
