Captivea Shop Floor Theme — Modern MES Dashboard for Odoo Manufacturing
A Captivea extension that redesigns the standard Odoo Shop Floor (MRP II) into a responsive Manufacturing Execution System dashboard for all manufacturing industries — with a three-column layout, step-by-step work order detail, and touch-friendly action controls, while preserving all native manufacturing logic.
Overview
Shop floor operators need clarity at a glance: which work center is active, what steps remain, what materials are required, and which actions are available without hunting through menus. This module wraps Odoo's standard Shop Floor OWL components with a modern UI layer — suitable for any manufacturing environment, with no core overrides and no duplicate business logic.
What You Get
Dashboard layout
- Left sidebar: operators, work center navigation, recent activity
- Center workspace: work order cards or full detail view with step timeline
- Right panel: product information, material overview, notes, attachments
- Department-aware KPIs, progress tracking, and status badges
Standard features preserved
- Quality checks, raw material consumption, lot / serial tracking
- Register production, scrap, by-products, and components
- Work center routing, block / unblock, quality alerts
- Operator session, barcode triggers, and native Shop Floor dialogs
- Adaptable to discrete, process, and mixed-mode manufacturing workflows
Who It Helps
Whether you run discrete assembly, process manufacturing, job shops, or multi-stage production lines, any business using Odoo Manufacturing with Shop Floor can benefit from a clearer operator experience. Supervisors keep the same backend data; operators get a touch-friendly interface aligned with modern MES dashboards — regardless of product type or industry.
Setup & Daily Use
Install the module and open the Shop Floor app. The Captivea dashboard theme is applied automatically — no extra configuration is required. Hard-refresh your browser after upgrading the module.
Step A — Navigate work centers from the sidebar
Open the Shop Floor app. The left sidebar lists your work centers with live counts, operator session controls, and recent activity — so teams can switch operations without losing context.
Step B — Open a work order detail view
Click a work order title to open the full detail dashboard: MO header, overall progress, estimated / elapsed time, and a step-by-step operation timeline with embedded quality checks and material moves.
Step C — Use footer actions without hidden menus
Register production, scrap, routing changes, components, quality alerts, and block / unblock are exposed as touch-friendly footer buttons — the same native Odoo actions, now visible at the bottom of the work center view.
Step D — Review product and material context
The right panel shows product information, BOM version, planned quantity, material readiness chips, production notes, quality notes, and attachments — all sourced dynamically from the manufacturing order and work order records.
Technical Notes
Built on Odoo Enterprise mrp_workorder with OWL patch + template inheritance only. Business logic remains in MrpDisplayRecord; quality checks and stock moves still use standard QualityCheck and StockMove components. Upgrade-safe OWL patching with no core file modifications.
