Comprehensive Access Rights
Maintain total control over your system's security and data visibility. The module comes with predefined Access Groups (e.g., Manager, User, Technician) ensuring that each employee only interacts with the menus and data strictly relevant to their specific role.
An intuitive interface to create a new customer.
But first, let's do some configuration.
Vehicle Models
Go to Configuration / Vehicle Models to create your cars.
Brands Creation
Go to Configuration / Spare Part Brands to create brands for your spare parts.
Brands can be related to a product for better management.
Storage Areas
Go to Configuration / Storage Areas to create locations for your parts to be stored in. You can create many locations and manage your inventory from here "we will come to it later when we will create some spare parts".
This model was created to use Odoo's logistics while keeping it simple.
Spare Parts
Now, go to Products / Spare Parts to create your spare parts. You can give a brand to the product and affiliate it to a Storage Area where it will be stored automatically.
Maintenance Templates
Go to Configuration > Maintenance Templates, to create all the maintenance tasks that will be performed in the workshop, along with their costs and associated vehicle types. This is very useful, as this information will be used to filter and display only relevant data based on the customer's vehicle.
Checklists
Go to Configuration > Checklists to create dynamic checklists. You can define checklists specifically for Inspections or Repairs. Orders cannot be marked as 'Completed' until all checklist items are successfully verified.
Service Teams
Go to Configuration > Service Teams to manage your workshop's workforce. You can organize your staff into specialized teams (e.g., Mechanics, Electricians) and easily assign tasks or entire repair orders to the right team for maximum efficiency.
Inspection Configuration
To manage your inspection orders efficiently, the Configuration menu centralizes multiple sub-menus. You can define Vehicle Conditions (Locations, Conditions, and Vehicle Items) as well as Vehicle Components & Fluids (Components and Fluids). Setting these up ensures detailed and highly accurate vehicle inspections.
Daily Operations & Main Menus
Reception Dashboard
The Reception Dashboard provides an intuitive interface to log new visits. Easily fill in the customer information and seamlessly select their vehicle model from your pre-configured catalog (smart keyword search is supported). This fast process ensures a professional check-in experience.
Customers Management
In the Customers menu, you can access your entire client database, featuring a centralized view of every customer's essential information.
On the customer's dedicated form, Smart Buttons provide instant access to their full service history. You can easily track all Inspections, Repairs, and Appointments previously performed on their vehicle, empowering your team with accurate historical data for a better diagnosis.
Quick Appointments
You can seamlessly create an appointment directly from the customer's record without losing context.
When you click the Create Appointment button, a streamlined window will pop up allowing you to set a date, provide a reason for the visit, and most importantly, select a Maintenance Template. This template instantly loads all predefined spare parts and labor tasks into the order.
Note: The maintenance template selection field is smart—it dynamically filters and displays only the templates relevant to the customer's specific vehicle model.
Appointments Menu
In this menu, you will find a clear, organized planning view of all your scheduled appointments. From here, you can easily track upcoming visits and seamlessly convert them into active service orders.
When you open an appointment form, you have complete flexibility over how to proceed. With just one click, you can generate a Repair Order, an Inspection Order, or both simultaneously depending on the customer's needs. You can also easily print the appointment details for your records or to provide to the customer.
Service Orders Management
Once you confirm an appointment, the system automatically routes the newly created order to the appropriate operational menu based on your selection (Repair, Inspection, or Both). You can access these dedicated queues directly from the main Mechanical Workshop menu.
Each service type has its own clear, filterable list view, allowing your workshop manager to easily track the status of all ongoing operations at a glance.
Comprehensive PDF Reports
Provide your customers and technicians with clear, professional documentation. The module automatically generates beautifully formatted PDF reports including Job Cards (detailing repair tasks and parts), Scratch Reports (visualizing vehicle body damage), and complete Inspection Results.
Website Appointment Booking
Offer a seamless digital experience. Customers can easily book an appointment directly from your Odoo website. The online form is user-friendly, allowing them to provide their vehicle details and describe the issue.
Once the online appointment is received in the backend, the workshop manager has full control. You can directly convert the web appointment into a Repair Order, an Inspection Order, or Both, depending on the customer's request.
Real-Time Customer Tracking
Customers can track their Appointment and Repair Order status live through the website portal simply by visiting /appointment/status. This ensures total transparency and reduces phone calls to the workshop!
Task & Labor Management
Tasks are automatically generated and linked directly from the Repair Order. Mechanics can track their assigned labor items efficiently in the Tasks menu.
Strict Validation Control
To maintain perfect inventory accuracy, the system enforces a strict workflow rule: A task cannot be marked as "Done" unless the associated Delivery Order (Bon de Livraison) for spare parts is validated first. This guarantees that parts are properly consumed from inventory before the mechanic completes the job.

The website booking module is fully optional. The entire backend (repair orders, inspections, tasks, dashboards, customer management) works perfectly without the website. You can activate the online booking portal at any time when you're ready to offer it to your customers.
Yes. You can define as many service teams as needed (e.g., Mechanics, Electricians, Body Shop) and assign technicians to each. Tasks from repair orders are distributed across teams, and role-based access rights ensure each technician only sees and interacts with their assigned work.
