The module generates the QR code
As soon as the module is installed, every employee record gets a QR code encoding their contact details in the standard vCard format.

Frequently asked questions
What format does the QR code use?
The standard vCard format, supported natively by the camera app on virtually every smartphone. Scanning it opens a ready-to-save contact card directly.
Can I customize the QR code’s appearance?
Yes. You can set the QR code’s colors to match your brand and insert your company logo in the center.
Does this send any data outside of Odoo?
No. The QR code is generated locally from the employee’s existing record. Nothing is sent to a third-party server to create or read it.
Can I choose which fields appear in the QR code?
The QR code encodes name, job position, company, work email and phone number by default, matching the information already visible on the employee form.
Does it work with Community and Enterprise?
Yes, the module is built for Odoo 19.0 and works on both editions.
Can the QR code be printed on badges or business cards?
Yes. The code is rendered as a standard image, so it can be placed on printed badges, business cards, or email signatures.
