ODOO'S FUNCTION

In Odoo, analytic accounts lack a management status. The only way to stop using an account is to Archive it, which makes it disappear entirely from filters and reports. This creates issues when users need to perform audits on old data or allow automatic entries to be recorded without allowing new manual selections.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION

CLuedoo introduces a flexible Status system for analytic accounts, featuring a "Lock Selection" capability. This allows users to prevent an analytic account from being selected on new documents (SO/PO/Invoice) while keeping it visible in reports, ensuring financial data transparency and continuity throughout the account's life cycle.

CONFIGURATION


1. Go to Accounting > Configuration > Analytic Account Status . Create different status and set as Active . Choose one of the status to lock selection.

E.g., Set up 4 statuses Draft, In Progress, Open, Closed. In the status "Closed", tick on "Lock on Analytic Distribution Selection".

USAGE


2. Go to Analytic Accounts .
Choose an AA and set its status (choose the status that is not locked first).

Go to SO or any other module that uses AA, then choose the Analytic Distribution.

Result: If the AA is in the status Draft/ In Progress/ Open > Still shows up in the option selection in SO.

3. Go back to Analytic Accounts > change the status for this AA into the Status with locked settings.

Result:
In the SO, cannot choose this AA in Analytic Distribution anymore.
