ODOO'S FUNCTION

In Odoo, users can define product packaging on the product form. However,  packaging is mainly used as a reference for sales, purchase, and inventory handling. When processing receipts or deliveries, users still need to manually manage package creation, and the system does not automatically pack the quantity based on the selected packaging unit.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION

Cluedoo enhances this workflow by adding Put in Pack by PU, which automatically creates packages based on the selected packaging unit. On receipts and deliveries, the system reads the product packaging definition and generates the correct number of packages according to the actual quantity processed.

CONFIGURATION


1. Go to Products > Access or create new product. Under Sales tab, define Packagings, i.e: Pack of 6

USAGE


  1. Create a Sales Order or Purchase Order for a product tracked by quantity, lot, or serial number. Enter the ordered quantity and unit of measure, for example 2 packs of 6.
2.  On Delivery/ Receipt, generate  Lot/Serial Number for product if required. Check box "Auto Pack" > Put in Pack by PU > The system creates the expected number of packages automatically.


Note: If box "Auto Pack" is not checked > product won't be packaged.





Barcode App

Create a Sales Order or Purchase Order > Open the related delivery/ receipt with smart button barcode >  Click the pencil icon to edit the detailed operation (Generate Lot/ SN if needed) > Put in Pack by PU > Packages are automatically generated
