In-App PurchasesMinimum & Maximum Product Price — Enforce, Override & Audit
Stop margin leakage from unauthorised discounting across both the Point of Sale and Sales Orders. Set a price band per product, choose block or warn-with-reason enforcement, and keep a full audit log of every override.
Cashiers, sales reps, and order takers can sell below cost or above policy with nobody noticing until a periodic report surfaces the loss. Existing tools either block silently with no override path, or alert with no enforcement — and none combine POS and Sales Orders under one configuration.
Configure a minimum and maximum selling price per product, enforce it identically on the POS and on Sales Orders, and let managers override out-of-band prices with a mandatory reason — captured forever in a queryable audit log.
Everything margin protection needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Per-Product Price Band
Set a minimum and maximum selling price on every product, with per-variant overrides for items whose pricing differs from the template default.
Unified POS & Sales Order Enforcement
One configuration governs both channels — the same price band and the same rules apply whether the sale happens at the till or on a quotation.
Block or Warn Enforcement Mode
Choose whether an out-of-band price is rejected outright or allowed with a warning and a required reason, tuned to your business from Settings.
Inline Allowed Price Band
The applicable minimum and maximum are shown directly on the sales order line and the POS product tile, so staff see the band before they type a price.
Role-Based Override Authorisation
Only users in the Price Override Manager group can push a price outside the configured band, and only by supplying a mandatory reason.
Full Override Audit Log
Every override records who approved it, when, the channel, the band, the attempted price, the approved price, and the reason — a complete, queryable history.
Compliance Pivot & Graph Reporting
Pivot and graph views over the override log let managers measure how often the guardrail was exercised, by whom, and on which products.
Bulk Price Limit Configuration
Minimum and maximum sale price columns are editable directly from the product list view, so catalogs with hundreds of SKUs can be configured in bulk.
Per-Channel Toggles
Enable enforcement independently on Sales Orders and on Point of Sale from Settings, so a single-channel seller isn't forced to configure the other.
How it works
Set Price Bands
Configure minimum and maximum selling prices per product, or in bulk from the product list.
Choose Enforcement Mode
Pick block or warn-with-reason, and enable it on Sales Orders, POS, or both.
Sell With Guardrails
Staff see the allowed band inline; out-of-band prices are blocked or flagged in real time.
Review the Audit Log
Managers review every override in the pivot and graph views to confirm the guardrail is working.

The same price band enforcement applies at the Point of Sale, unifying policy across channels.

Frequently asked
Does this cover both POS and Sales Orders, or do I need two modules?
One module, one configuration. The same price band and enforcement mode apply on both the Point of Sale and Sales Orders, toggled independently per channel from Settings.
Can a manager still approve a legitimate discount outside the band?
Yes. Users in the Price Override Manager group can approve an out-of-band price by supplying a mandatory reason. The override, the reason, and both prices are recorded in the audit log.
What is the difference between Block and Warn mode?
Block mode rejects an out-of-band price outright unless an authorised override is supplied. Warn mode allows the sale to proceed but requires a reason, so you can tune strictness to your business without buying a different app.
Can I configure price limits for many products at once?
Yes. The Minimum and Maximum Sale Price columns are editable directly from the product list view, so you can set or adjust limits across many products in one pass.
