A stored, indexed normalized-phone field strips spaces, dashes, parentheses, leading zeros, and country codes, so “0499 12 34 56” and “+32 499 12 34 56” resolve to the exact same contact.

Open Partner Finder
Launch the dedicated Finder from the Contacts menu, or use the enhanced search bar in any partner field across Odoo.
Type any identifier
Enter a name, phone number, mobile number, or email — in any format — and results update live as you type.
Review ranked results
Exact and best matches surface first, each with a preview card showing type, tags, phone, and email.
Act on the result
Call, email, or open the record directly from the card — and your lookup is saved to Recent for next time.

Frequently asked
Does this replace Odoo's standard partner search?
No — it extends it. The standard search bar and every partner autocomplete still work exactly as before, but now they also match by phone and mobile number in any format, alongside the dedicated Partner Finder for a full lookup experience.
Will it match a number regardless of how it was entered?
Yes. Spaces, dashes, parentheses, leading zeros, and country-code prefixes are all normalized, so a number saved as “+32 499 12 34 56” matches a search for “0499123456”.
Does the recent-lookups list mix up contacts between users?
No. Recent lookups are tracked per user, so each person sees only the contacts they personally looked up.
Which Odoo versions are supported?
