Sticky Notes gives every user a persistent note board reachable from the apps menu, plus the ability to attach any note to any record. Notes are private by default and can be promoted to shared or team-wide in one action, with color tags, reminders and deadlines keeping the board organized and glanceable.

Attach a note to any record

Color-coded tags
Seven predefined color tags — yellow, green, blue, red, purple, orange, grey — surface priority at a glance across kanban and list views.
Reminders & deadlines
Set a reminder time and a note posts a message to you automatically; set a deadline and it sorts and filters by due date.
Pin and prioritize
Pin the notes that matter most to the top of the board and set a priority level so urgent items never get buried.
Rich note content
Write formatted rich-text notes with headings and lists, not just plain text, so instructions stay readable.
Central management views
Browse every note in kanban, list or calendar, with search filters for your notes, shared-with-me, pinned, overdue and done.
Mark done, archive, restore

Open Sticky Notes
Reach your note board from the apps menu on any screen and click New.
Write and tag it
Add a title, rich-text content and a color tag; optionally link it to a record.
Set scope and follow-up
Keep it private, share with teammates or the whole team, and set a reminder or deadline.
Triage from the board
Scan kanban, list or calendar by color and deadline, and mark notes done as you clear them.

Frequently asked
Are my notes private by default?
Yes. Every new note is private to its owner. You can promote it to shared with specific users or to your whole team at any time from the note itself.
Can I attach a note to a sales order, customer or any other record?
Yes. Any note can be linked to any record in any installed Odoo module, and a button on the note opens that record directly.
How do reminders work?
Set a reminder date and time on a note. A scheduled action checks every 30 minutes and posts a message to you when a reminder is due, so nothing needs to be checked manually.
Which Odoo versions and editions are supported?
Sticky Notes supports Odoo 17, 18 and 19 Community. It depends only on the standard Mail app, already included in every Odoo install.
