Shoppers add items to the cart, or even complete checkout, before discovering a product is unavailable — leading to cancellations, refunds and lost trust. Native Odoo offers only limited, hard-to-customize availability messaging and no way to re-engage a shopper once an item runs out.

How it works
Configure Labels
Set status labels, colors and the Limited Stock threshold in Website settings.
Enable Per Product
Turn on stock display and choose ordering or pre-order behavior on the product form.
Shopper Sees Status
The product page shows the live badge and the matching Add to Cart, Pre-order or Notify Me button.
Alert On Restock
When inventory returns, subscribed shoppers get an automatic email and can manage alerts from their portal.

Does the stock badge stay in sync with real inventory?
Yes. The badge reads the product’s actual Odoo inventory quantity, so it always reflects current stock without any manual updates.
Can I change the wording and colors of each status?
Yes. The In Stock, Limited Stock, and Out of Stock labels and their colors are all editable from a single Website settings screen.
How does the back-in-stock notification work?
Shoppers submit their email on an out-of-stock product page. A scheduled action checks inventory and automatically emails every subscriber once the product is back in stock.
Can shoppers manage or cancel their own alerts?
Yes. Logged-in customers get a My Stock Notifications page in the Odoo portal where they can view and unsubscribe from their own alerts.
