Installation & Usage

  • Copy the module to your Odoo custom addons directory
  • Restart the Odoo server and activate Developer Mode
  • Install the module via the Apps menu
  • Go to any record’s Chatter and click the Form View icon next to attachments

Installation

  1. Copy this module into your Odoo 19 custom addons directory.
  2. Restart your Odoo server.
  3. Enable Developer Mode from Settings > Activate the Developer Mode.
  4. Go to Apps, click Update Apps List, and install Edit Attachments from Chatter – Open Attachment Form View Easily.

Usage

  1. Open any record with chatter (e.g., Sales Order, Task, Invoice).
  2. Attach a file using the chatter attachment option.
  3. Notice the new edit (pencil) icon next to each file.
  4. Click the icon to open the attachment form view and edit the file's details.
  5. Save your changes and continue working seamlessly.
