Everything HR Integration adds
Two independent settings, each activatable separately.
Frame by department
Enable the setting and assign an avatar frame to each department or job.
Color by department
Set primary color, secondary color and decoration style at the department or job level.
Automatic propagation
When a department or job setting changes, all affected employee profiles are updated.
Admin controls
Fields appear only when the relevant setting is enabled, and only for authorized users.

Go to General Settings → Chatter HR Integration and check the options you want to control.
Configure departments / jobs
Open each HR department or job form. A "Chatter Customization" section appears with the relevant pickers.
Automatic propagation
Employee partner profiles are updated automatically. Changes are reflected in the chatter immediately.
Job overrides department
When both a job and a department have settings, the job position takes priority — giving fine-grained control.

The HR Integration module is an add-on for Chatter User Customization. Make sure to install the base module first to get the pickers, the chatter patches, and all customization fields.
