Find & Select Export Fields Faster with Smart Filters and Grouping
In standard Odoo, the Export Data feature loads all model fields in a single unorganized list. For models with many fields, this becomes difficult to manage.
Users often struggle to find business-relevant fields because the list includes many technical or less-used fields like create_date, __last_update, message_follower_ids, and more.
This results in excessive scrolling, confusion, and wasted time when selecting fields for export.
This module introduces a clean and structured export interface that makes it easy to find, filter, and select the right fields quickly.
Fields are grouped by type (Char, Integer, Date, Many2one, etc.), allowing users to navigate through organized sections instead of a long flat list.
Filter fields easily using:
Type • View (List / Form) • Source (Studio / Custom)
Each section includes expand/collapse (chevron navigation), so users can focus only on relevant fields and avoid unnecessary clutter.
With smart grouping, advanced filtering, and a user-friendly interface, users can quickly locate and select fields without confusion—making the export process faster, cleaner, and more efficient.

Provides expand/collapse functionality for field groups, helping reduce visual clutter and improve usability.
Introduces a filter section that allows users to filter fields by type and source, with an option to clear all filters easily.
The Field Type filter button opens a dropdown with multiple field types, allowing users to select one or more types for filtering.
Displays the count of selected field types and updates the list in real time—for example, selecting ‘Text’ and ‘Integer’ shows only those fields.
Selecting ‘Date’ and ‘Monetary’ filters the list to display only those field types.
Selecting ‘One2many’ and ‘Many2many’ filters the list to display only those field types.
The Other Filters button provides options to filter fields by view (List/Form) and by source (Studio/Custom).
When ‘List View’ is selected, the items list displays all fields defined in the list view, including hidden (invisible) columns and fields added through inherited views.
When both ‘List View’ and ‘Form View’ are selected, the items list shows all fields available in both views, including visible fields, hidden (invisible) fields, and fields added through inherited views.
When ‘Studio’ is selected, all fields created through Odoo Studio are displayed, including fields manually added by users.
When ‘Custom’ is selected, all fields added by custom or third-party modules are shown, excluding standard Odoo fields.
Selecting both ‘Studio’ and ‘Custom’ displays fields from both sources in the list.
A Clear button allows you to reset all filters (Field Type and Other Filters) with a single click. The button becomes active only when filters are applied.
Easily fold or unfold the entire items list with a single click.
