Odoo.sh
Odoo Cloud (SaaS)
Description
Adds three classification fields to your chart of accounts so you can group and sort your accounts beyond Odoo's standard code and account type.
With these labels you can prepare special accounting reports by business unit, by your own category, and by separating income from expenses, without changing the official structure of your accounting.
Key Features
- Income & expense classification — Tag each account as income or expense to segment your financial statements.
- Business unit — Assign each account to a business unit and consolidate results by area.
- Custom accounting category — Define your own category on each account for tailored groupings.
- Built into the chart of accounts — The fields appear on the account form and as optional columns in the account list.
Installation & Setup
- Download and install the module from Settings → Apps → Third-party modules.
- Enable developer mode if you need advanced configuration.
- Open Accounting â Configuration â Chart of Accounts and fill in the business unit, category and income/expense tag on each account.
Usage Instructions
Go to Accounting â Configuration â Chart of Accounts and open any account. On the accounting tab you will find the Income/Expense, Business Unit and Category fields. Fill them in according to your reporting criteria.
In the chart of accounts list view you can enable these (optional) columns to filter and group your accounts by any of the three classifications.
