Protect your profitability by preventing salespeople from confirming quotations below a minimum profit margin. Define the minimum margin percentage on each product or product category, and the module blocks confirmation of any sales order whose lines fall short of it.
Built on top of Odoo's standard Sales Margin feature, the real margin comes straight from Odoo's own computation, so the check is always consistent with what your team sees on the order.
- Minimum margin per product â Set the required minimum sales margin (%) directly on each product.
- Minimum margin per category â Set a default minimum margin on a product category, applied when the product has none.
- Confirmation guard â When a quotation is confirmed, every line is checked against its minimum margin and blocked if it falls short.
- Clear feedback â The salesperson is told exactly which products do not reach the required margin.
- Manager override â A Sales Manager can flag an individual order to allow confirmation below the minimum margin when justified.
- Access controlled â Only Sales Managers can view and set the minimum margin values.
- Download and install the module from Apps.
- The standard Sales and Sales Margin apps are installed automatically as dependencies.
- As a Sales Manager, open a product or a product category and fill in the Minimum Sales Margin (%) field.
On a product (Sales tab) or a product category, set the Minimum Sales Margin (%). Create a quotation, add the product, and confirm it: if the line margin is below the required minimum, Odoo stops the confirmation and lists the products that do not comply.
When a below-minimum sale is intentional, a Sales Manager ticks Allow Minimum Margin Difference? on that specific order to authorize the confirmation.
