POS Payment Reference
The POS Payment Reference module enhances the Odoo Point of Sale by allowing cashiers to record a payment reference for each payment line directly from the POS payment screen. This is especially useful for businesses that accept card payments, bank transfers, UPI, mobile wallets, cheques, or any payment method that requires a transaction reference. The module lets you enable or disable the feature for individual payment methods, optionally print the payment reference on customer receipts, and automatically save it in the backend for future tracking and verification. The payment reference is available in POS Orders, POS Payments, receipts, and can be easily searched using the provided filter.

📝 Workflow
- Navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Payment Methods.
- Open the desired payment method.
- Enable Payment Reference.
- Optionally enable Show Payment Reference on Receipt.
- Open the Point of Sale and create a new order.
- Select the desired payment method.
- Click the Payment Reference button.
- Enter the payment reference and click Apply.
- A confirmation notification appears indicating that the payment reference has been successfully saved.
- Validate the order.
- The payment reference is automatically stored in the backend POS Order and POS Payment records.
- Optionally print the payment reference on the customer receipt and printable PDF receipt.

1. Configure Payment Methods
