Commander GPS Connector
Your Commander GPS fleet inside Odoo - trip log, live map, routes and odometers
Why This Module?
Commander (commander-systems.com) is one of the leading GPS fleet monitoring providers in Slovakia and Czechia. Your vehicles already report every trip, position and tachometer reading - but that data lives in the Commander portal, while your invoicing, HR and fleet agenda live in Odoo.
This module mirrors your Commander fleet into Odoo through the official REST API v1: vehicles become native Odoo Fleet records, trips build a browsable trip log (kniha jazd), last positions appear on a live map and tachometer readings feed the Fleet odometer log. One direction only - the module never writes anything back to Commander.

Features
Native Odoo Fleet Integration
Vehicles are created and updated directly in Odoo Fleet - license plate, VIN, model, fuel type, archived state. Contracts, services and cost tracking keep working on top of them.
Trip Log (Kniha jazd)
Every ride with start/stop time and address, distance, duration, driver, business/private type, speeds, fuel consumption, refuelings, waypoints and notes.
Trip Analysis & PDF Report
Pivot and graph analysis of all trips, plus a printable per-vehicle trip log with total, business and private kilometers and fuel consumed.
Live Fleet Map
Last known position of every vehicle on one interactive map. A scheduled job can refresh positions every 15 minutes.
GPS Route on the Map
Each trip stores its GPS track and draws it on an interactive map directly on the trip form - from start to stop, point by point.
Odometer Sync
Current tachometer readings (kilometers or engine hours) are written into the Odoo Fleet odometer log daily, so mileage-based service reminders use real data.

One-way sync: Commander → Odoo. The module only reads - your Commander data is never modified.
How It Works
- Install the module and open Fleet → Commander GPS → Konfiguracia → Konektory
- Create a connector and enter the Basic Auth username and password you received from Commander
- Click Test Connection - you should see the number of available vehicles
- Run the sync to import vehicles, drivers, positions and odometers
- Set a date range and import trips with their GPS tracks
- Optionally enable the scheduled jobs (all disabled by default): master data daily, positions every 15 minutes, trips every 6 hours
Under the Hood
- Pagination and rate limits handled - HTTP 429 with Retry-After is respected automatically
- Idempotent imports - records are keyed by Commander ID, any sync is safe to re-run
- Per-record savepoints - one broken record never kills the whole batch
- Full sync logs - status, record counts, duration and error details for every run
- Multi-company ready - one connector per company
- Security groups - user and manager roles, the API password is visible to managers only

Requirements
- Odoo 19.0 (Community or Enterprise)
- Fleet module installed (standard Odoo app)
- Commander account with REST API v1 access - Basic Auth credentials provided by Commander (commander-systems.com)
- Some endpoints and fields must be enabled in your Commander contract - the module reports missing rights clearly instead of failing silently
- Backend labels are in Slovak - Commander operates primarily in Slovakia and Czechia

Modul zrkadlí dáta z Commander GPS monitoringu (commander-systems.com) do Odoo cez oficiálne REST API v1. Vozidlá sa vytvárajú priamo v aplikácii Vozový park, jazdy tvoria knihu jazd, posledné polohy vidíte na živej mape a stavy tachometrov sa denne zapisujú do Odoo. Synchronizácia je jednosmerná - do Commandera sa nič nezapisuje.

- Kniha jazd - čas a adresa štartu aj cieľa, vzdialenosť, trvanie, vodič, služobná/súkromná jazda, spotreba, tankovania, prejazdné body a poznámky
