Step-by-step guide to using this module
๐ Open Contracts & SLA from the Odoo Main Menu
From the Odoo home screen, open the Contacts app and click Contracts & SLA in the top navigation. Click New to create a contract and select the type: Maintenance, SLA, Subscription, Lease, Insurance, or Other.
๐ข Fill in Expiry Date, Contract Value, Auto-Renewal & Alert Days
In the contract form, set the Start Date and Expiry Date, enter the Contract Value, and optionally enable Auto-Renewal. Set Alert Before (days) to control how early the reminder cycle begins. The Days Left counter updates automatically every day.
๐ Automated Renewal Reminders at 30, 14, and 7 Days Before Expiry
No action needed รขยย a daily scheduled job automatically detects contracts approaching expiry and sends reminder emails at 30, 14, and 7 days before the expiry date. Each reminder is sent only once per contract. You can customise the reminder days from Settings โ Contract Renewal.
๐ง Email Sent to the Customer โ Optionally CC the Account Manager
Reminder emails are sent automatically to the customer. To also notify the assigned Account Manager, enable "Also Email Account Manager" in Settings โ Contract Renewal. The account manager also receives an Odoo activity (to-do task) on every reminder, visible in their personal dashboard.
๐ Contract Status: Active, Expiring Soon, Expired, Renewed
The contract Status is computed automatically every day โ Active (green, more than 30 days left), Expiring Soon (yellow, 30 days or fewer), Expired (red, past expiry date), or Renewed (teal, after using the Renew Contract wizard). Use the Kanban view for a colour-coded visual overview of all contracts.
