- Navigate to Settings >> Users & Companies >> Users, and select the user you want to give rights to Access Management.
- There, locate the Access Management setting and select Access Management Manager option to allow the user to configure access rights.
- Choose Access Management option if you want the user to only view the Access Management configurations. The user will not be able to modify them.
- Navigate to Access Management >> Access Rules and create a new record of rules.
- Click Active to apply the rules.
- Select the users to whom you want to apply the rules in the Users field.
- Select the Companies to which you want to apply the rules.

How do I start restricting access for a specific user or group?
Simply go to Access Management → Access Rules, create a new rule, select the target Users and Companies, and configure your restrictions using the tabs (Menu Access, Model Access, Field Access, etc.). Click the Activate button at the top-left to make the rule active.
Can I hide specific fields or make them read-only under certain conditions?
Yes, absolutely! Under the Field Access tab, you can add any model field and set its behavior to Read-Only, Invisible, or Required. You can also define an Invisible/Read-Only/Required Condition (e.g.
[('state', '=', 'draft')]) to apply the restriction dynamically based on the record state.
How do I hide buttons, tabs, or cog menu actions?
Under the Button/Tab Access tab, you can target any button, page tab, or action. Enter the Technical Name (or exact Target Name / Label) and check Hide Target. To hide action dropdown options like "Share" or "Reverse Moves", set the Target Type to Action.
Is this app compatible with Odoo Online?
No, this app will not work for Odoo Online.
