Client Equipment Management
Know exactly what equipment you have, where it is, and who owns it
Managing a client equipment register across multiple sites and customers is harder than it should be. Spreadsheets fall out of date, serial numbers get lost, and service history is scattered across emails and job cards. The Client Equipment module gives you a single, structured register inside Odoo where every piece of equipment (sometimes referred to as Customer Premises Equipment or CPE) has a permanent home with a complete record attached to it.
A Complete Equipment Record
Each equipment record captures everything your team needs in the field and in the office. Manufacturer, model, serial number, and asset tag are tracked with uniqueness enforced at the database level, so there accidental duplicates are possible. The physical address of the equipment is stored independently of the client address, because equipment rarely lives at the billing address. Site contact and site phone sit directly on the record so field technicians always know who to call.
Equipment can be photographed and the image stored on the record. Supporting documents such as manuals, compliance certificates, and installation reports attach directly to the equipment rather than floating in a shared folder somewhere. Notes and full service history round out the record, giving anyone who opens it an immediate picture of the asset's life.
Organised Across Your Entire Client Base
Equipment is categorised, grouped into systems, and assigned to clients. Categories keep like equipment together and drive downstream behaviour in companion modules such as calibration inspections. Systems allow you to group related equipment that forms a single installation, with multiple units belonging together under one roof or one contract.
The list view gives you a fast overview across all clients and all sites. Filter by client, group by system or manufacturer, or search by serial number or asset tag to find exactly what you are looking for without leaving the screen. Equipment can also be linked directly to a product in your Odoo catalogue, tying your asset register to your sales and procurement data.
Built Into Your Client Records
Every client record in Odoo gains an Equipment smart button showing how many assets are registered against that client. One click opens the filtered equipment list for that client only. Site contacts added to the client record carry through automatically when new equipment is created, eliminating repetitive data entry across large equipment registers.
Equipment tracking is client-aware throughout. Domain filters, default values, and system grouping all respect the client relationship, so your team always sees the right equipment in the right context without needing to filter manually.
Multi-Language Support
The module is fully internationalised. All user-facing text is translatable through Odoo's standard language system, and the following languages are included out of the box: Spanish for Spain, Spanish for Latin America, Portuguese for Brazil, Portuguese for Portugal, and French. Regional variants are provided separately where business terminology differs meaningfully between markets. Installing a supported language in Odoo Settings activates the translation immediately with no additional configuration required.
The Foundation for a Complete Solution
This module is the base layer of the Cyder Solutions equipment management suite. It provides the equipment register that companion modules build on. Depending on your operational requirements, the suite extends into contract management and field service, workshop repairs, compliance inspections and calibration, recurring maintenance scheduling, equipment warranty tracking, and rental inspection workflows. Each companion module installs independently and integrates directly with the equipment records established here.
