CRM AI Icebreaker
Turn raw prospect research into a personalised icebreaker in seconds.
What It Does
Before reaching out to a prospect, salespeople spend time piecing together research from LinkedIn, company websites, news articles, and social media. Turning that research into a compelling, personal opening line takes skill and time.
CRM AI Icebreaker adds a dedicated tab to every CRM opportunity. Paste in any research you have gathered -- in any order, from any source -- and the module sends it to your chosen AI engine along with a configurable prompt. The result is a natural, specific, ready-to-use icebreaker that you can edit before dropping it into your email or call notes.
Features
Paste Any Research
A rich-text field accepts research from any source -- LinkedIn bios, company news, social posts, notes from previous calls. Order and formatting do not matter.
One-Click Generate
A single button sends your research and prompt to the AI engine. The generated icebreaker appears immediately in the form -- no page refresh required.
Edit Before You Send
The generated result is fully editable. Refine the wording, adjust the tone, or regenerate as many times as you need before using it.
Configurable Prompt
A default prompt is pre-loaded and editable in Settings. Each opportunity can also have its own prompt variation, with a one-click reset back to the default.
Choice of AI Engine
Choose between Claude (Anthropic) and GPT-4o (OpenAI) per opportunity. Set your preferred default engine in Settings.
Secure API Key Storage
API keys are stored as Odoo system parameters and displayed as password fields. They are never exposed in the UI or logs.
How It Works
Configure
Add your Anthropic or OpenAI API key in Settings and set your default prompt.
Research
Open any CRM opportunity and paste your prospect research into the Icebreaker tab.
Generate
Select your AI engine and click Generate Icebreaker. The result appears instantly.
Use It
Edit the result if needed, then drop it into your email, call script, or notes.
External Services Required
This module connects to third-party AI services to generate icebreakers. These are external paid services operated by their respective providers. Usage fees are charged directly by those providers and are separate from the cost of this module.
- Anthropic Claude -- requires an Anthropic API key. Pricing and usage terms at console.anthropic.com.
- OpenAI GPT-4o -- requires an OpenAI API key. Pricing and usage terms at platform.openai.com.
Your prospect research notes are transmitted to the selected provider when you click Generate. Review each provider's data and privacy policies before use.
