Install module/application.

Once installed, navigate to Settings â Users & Companies â Users, open the desired user, and go to the Preferences tab. Enable the Autofollow Mentions option. After enabling it, whenever that user @mentions a customer or contact in a chatter message, the mentioned partner will be automatically added to the record's Followers list.

After enabling Autofollow Mentions, open any record with a chatter, compose a Send Message, and @mention a customer or contact. When you send the message, the mentioned partner will be automatically added to the record's Followers list, provided the Autofollow Mentions option is enabled for your user.
