The Project Timesheets Category module adds a Category field to every timesheet entry in Odoo 19 – both in the Timesheets menu and on the Timesheets tab of project tasks. You define categories per company (e.g. Billable, Internal, Support), select or create one when logging time, then filter and group by category in list views, pivot tables, and graphs. Feature overview
The module extends Odoo’s standard timesheets with a Timesheet Category selection field. On every time entry (in the Timesheets list, on the entry form, and on the Timesheets tab of a project task) you can assign a category from the company’s list or create a new one on the fly. The field is optional. Categories appear in list views, in search (filter and group by category), and in pivot and graph reports.

In the Timesheets menu (My Timesheets, All Timesheets, project timesheets), the list view and the single-entry form both show the Timesheet Category field. You can pick an existing category or create a new one without leaving the form.

Configuration – defining categories
Timesheet categories are managed by administrators under Timesheets → Configuration → Timesheet Categories. For each category you set a name (e.g. Billable, Internal, Support) and optionally a description; in multi-company setups each company has its own list. Categories that are already used on entries cannot be deleted – they can only be archived.

Project task – Timesheets tab with Category
On a project task form, the Timesheets tab shows the time entries table and the add/edit line form (“Add a line”) with the Timesheet Category field as well. You can set the category directly when logging time on a specific task.
